London Diary - Entry the First

"...and the sign said: long haired freaky people need not apply..."

First Day in London 12th/13th Dec 2006

Arrived at the infamous Heathrow Terminal 4. Went through the usual steps - Customs baggage etc... Nothing unuasual to report.

Eva met us at the Airport and we caught a tube. I jumped off at Kings Cross and made my way to my hotel. I was greeted by an odd but friendly Indian man. He was staight-forward and pleasant. I made my way up the creaky stairs and through the small doors & corridors to my room. The room couldn't be more than 3x3x3! The shower literally covers me, it's curtain railing hanging by 2 screws off the wall.

Thankfully the bed itself is clean & comfy and there is a TV about the size of a cereal box.

I am eating breakfast now - uncertain of whether or not its part of my bill - ie The one I'm not paying. Ah well the fruit is nice.

The general 'type' of people in the breakfast room are old english folk, however the couple in front of me is french. [yes i know thats an arbitrary comment, but I'm just giving you the lay of the land].

The waitress is from eastern european, tall & skiny with a wonky nose.
